Ubisoft Enhances Subscription Service with Premium Offering and Classics Collection

Ubisoft rozbudowuje swoją usługę subskrypcji, wprowadzając ofertę premium i dodając opcję skupioną na archiwalnych tytułach.

Ubisoft, a leading video game company, has expanded its subscription service by introducing a premium option and a collection of classic titles. With the release of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown on the Ubisoft+ platform, Ubisoft+ Multi-Access, and PC Access have been transformed into Ubisoft+ Premium, priced at $17.99 per month. This new subscription offers access to games from the day of their release and early access to select titles. Additionally, Ubisoft+ Premium subscribers will have access to premium editions and monthly rewards. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, set to be released on its premiere day, is also available to Ubisoft+ Premium subscribers.

In addition to this change, Ubisoft has also introduced Ubisoft+ Classics for PC, which includes a carefully curated selection of popular classic titles and live games. The Ubisoft+ Classics collection features titles such as Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Siege, and Watch Dogs: Legion. Ubisoft has stated that the collection will be gradually expanded in the future. Subscribers of PlayStation+ Extra and PlayStation+ Premium also gain access to the Ubisoft+ Classics catalog. Independently, Ubisoft+ Classics is available on PC through the Ubisoft Store for $7.99 per month. PC subscribers with existing plans will retain their current subscriptions with the same monthly fee.

As part of an agreement between Ubisoft and Microsoft, Ubisoft has acquired the rights to cloud gaming from Activision, making the Activision Blizzard catalog available in the future.

Philippe Tremblay, Director of Ubisoft Subscriptions, stated in a blog post that Ubisoft+ has exceeded expectations in terms of subscriber growth, with Assassin’s Creed and Rainbow Six being the most popular games. Explaining the decision to introduce Ubisoft+ Classics, Tremblay said, “We believe it’s an excellent offering at this price, and the catalog will only expand as we add more games for players to discover our worlds.”
