Exciting Announcement: Ed and Neo Shadaloo in Street Fighter 6

Rozszerzenie opowieści o Edzie i Neo Shadaloo w Street Fighter 6

In a highly anticipated trailer, Ed has announced his arrival in the Street Fighter 6 universe, much to the delight of fans. This news not only excites gamers who have been eagerly waiting to play as Ed, but it also signifies new narrative content within the World Tour, as hinted in Ed’s trailer.

Following the downfall of Shadaloo in the storyline of Street Fighter 5, Ed founded Neo Shadaloo. Shortly after parting ways with Balrog, Ed was seen in the company of three other members of Neo Shadaloo.

It was later revealed that one of the members was a woman named Falke, who was subsequently released as a DLC character in Season 3 of Street Fighter 5. Ed possessed the extraordinary ability to generate Psycho Power from his hands, while Falke had the power to inject Psycho Power into objects.

The remaining two warriors who appeared in Ed’s storyline ending were never directly mentioned in the Street Fighter 5 narrative. However, there are indications that Ed crossed paths with them after encountering Falke. Unfortunately, the characters’ stories never reached that point.

Nonetheless, we do have some information about the other two members of Neo Shadaloo. In 2021, Takayuki Nakayama, the former director of Street Fighter 5 and the director of Street Fighter 6, revealed some details about these characters.

“I’ll write something special for you… The monkey’s name is Baba Muarim (or Mwalimu), and she is incredibly intelligent (in certain areas),” Nakayama said. It is said that Baba inherited wisdom and a high level of intelligence from M. Bison.

“Baba Mwalimu” comes from the Swahili language and means “teacher father.” Currently, not much is known about Baba’s personality, but she appears to be the mastermind behind Neo Shadaloo.

The other member is a tall man with triangular, curly hair. It seems that he inherited the ability to teleport from M. Bison. Although other fighters like Dhalsim and Seth can also teleport, we have never seen a character who solely relies on teleportation.

Nakayama also suggested that the tall man’s name starts with the letter “G,” but no further clues were provided. While there is already a character named “G” in Street Fighter 5, there doesn’t appear to be any connection between these two characters.

In Street Fighter 6’s World Tour mode, characters often share their past histories as you build your bond with them. It is highly likely that Ed will reveal more about Neo Shadaloo and his team in his narrative ending story in Street Fighter 5.

With the release of Ed as the next DLC character, we can expect to learn more about Baba Mwalimu and the tall man whose name starts with “G.”
