CD Projekt Red rozpoczyna produkcję nowej sagi Wiedźmina

CD Projekt Red, the Polish game developer, has announced the start of production on a new Witcher saga. Despite recently completing the Phantom Liberty project, the company is now motivated to begin new ventures. According to a recent report from Reuters, the studio plans to enter the “production phase” of the first installment of the new Witcher games, currently codenamed Polaris.

Adam Badowski, co-CEO of CD Projekt Red, stated that the team aims to hire around 400 people by mid-year to intensively work on the new project. Additionally, the developer is in the “conceptual phase” for the continuation of Cyberpunk 2077, with plans to employ about 80 people by the end of 2024. The company is also considering introducing multiplayer elements to the new Cyberpunk installment, although details are currently undisclosed.

Phantom Liberty, the latest DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, has been nominated for the “Outstanding Visual Effects in a Real-Time Project” award at the 22nd Annual Visual Effects Society Awards. This event recognizes outstanding achievements in visual effects and innovation. Although Phantom Liberty was an expansion to Cyberpunk 2077, the company can leverage the experience gained to create a sequel.

CD Projekt Red, known for its commitment to creating high-quality games, is rapidly expanding and planning ambitious projects. Work on the new Witcher saga is currently underway, and fans can expect more incredible adventures in the world of The Witcher.
