PQube has just released a new trailer for the upcoming game “KonoSuba – Blessing of the Divine Company. Love For These Clothes Of Desire!” developed by 5pb. and MAGES. The game is set to be released in the West on February 8th for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Embark on a captivating journey alongside Kazuma and his companions as they uncover the secrets of the mysterious “Black Plate.” This magical artifact has the power to create enchanted clothes, which bring forth intense and newfound desires in the wearer. The girls must wear these clothes and fulfill the desires in order to break the curse and complete their mission. Will you be ready to encounter Darkness as a ruthless dominatrix? Or perhaps Aqua as a dignified goddess? And what about Megumin as the proud leader of the Lolita League?
The game revolves around completing quests and obtaining materials needed to create the desired clothes for the three main heroines. This fully dubbed adventure game was released in Japan in September 2020 for the PS4 and Switch consoles.
“KonoSuba – Blessing of the Divine Company” originated from a series of light novels written by Natsume Akatsuki, with illustrations by Kurone Mishima. The story follows the misadventures of Kazuma, an underachiever who dies in a car accident but is granted a chance to reincarnate in a magical world by the goddess Aqua. Choosing Aqua as his partner, they are transported to a new life and together embark on various quests to earn food, shelter, and clothing. Soon, they are joined by the powerful wizard Megumin and the valiant warrior Darkness, who prove to be just as inept as themselves.
The novel series concluded with its 17th volume in May 2020. Akatsuki also wrote several spin-off novels, which were illustrated by Mishima. The series began in 2014 and consists of three main novels and two sequel series.
Yen Press publishes the original “KonoSuba” novels, as well as the English adaptation of the manga by Masahito Watari. The company also releases the spin-off novels “Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!” and the manga adaptation by Kasumi Morino.
The first season of the anime adaptation premiered in January 2016, followed by the second season in January 2017. Both seasons were available for streaming on Crunchyroll with Japanese subtitles.
