Palworld Sets Sales Record and Unveils Exciting Updates

Palworld osiąga rekordowe wyniki sprzedaży i zapowiada nowe aktualizacje

The multiplayer game Palworld, known for its monster-catching and survival elements, has achieved remarkable success, selling over 7 million copies within just five days. Now, the developers are providing players with a roadmap of upcoming updates. While often described as “Pokemon with guns”, Palworld will soon introduce player versus player (PvP) battles, challenging bosses to defeat, an arena PvP mode, and crossplay support between Steam and Xbox.

The game’s creators, Pocket Pair, revealed these planned future updates in a post on the X platform (formerly Twitter), without specifying the exact release dates. Additionally, Palworld will receive “various Xbox-exclusive enhancements”, server transfers and migrations, improvements to the building system, as well as new islands, companions, bosses, and technologies.

Palworld’s sales have been nothing short of impressive. Within just a few days of its early access launch, the game sold over 6 million copies, soared to the top of Steam’s concurrent players list, and now boasts another achievement – gathering 1.864 million players simultaneously. This surpasses the concurrent player record set by Counter-Strike, albeit by just around 50 thousand players. Despite these impressive results, Palworld still faces a challenging task if it ever hopes to surpass the record-breaking achievements of the current champion, PUBG, which boasts 3 million players.

Since its release, over 5 million copies of Palworld have been sold.

According to information provided by the game’s creators, Pocket Pair, many players are capturing Pals and hatching eggs. Palworld is currently the most popular game on Steam, reaching a peak player count of approximately 1.5 million. Described as a blend of Minecraft, Fortnite, Pokemon, and some AR-15 rifles by Kotaku, the game has quickly become a sensation despite seemingly appearing “out of nowhere”.
