New article: Nintendo Live 2024 Concerts Shift to Online Stream

Nintendo has announced that the planned Legend of Zelda and Splatoon concerts, originally intended to be held live, will now be moved to an online stream. The decision came after the company received threats towards their staff and participants, prompting the cancellation of the Nintendo Live 2024 event for safety reasons.

In its statement, Nintendo expressed gratitude to all those who expressed interest in the concerts and announced that recorded videos of the live performances will be made available. The Legend of Zelda concert will be streamed on Friday, February 9th, while the Splatoon 3 Deep Cut concert will be available on the following day, February 10th.

Both concerts will start at 20:00 JST, which means they will be accessible to viewers in the UK at 11:00. Nintendo of America’s social media account also provided a time of 5:00 PT for the Legend of Zelda concert, indicating that it will begin at 13:00 GMT.

The Legend of Zelda concert is expected to run for approximately half an hour, while the Splatoon concert will last around 40 minutes, according to Nintendo. Additionally, merchandise related to the concerts, which was originally planned to be sold at the event, will now be available for purchase through the Japanese My Nintendo Store.

Nintendo has stated that the year 2024 will be significant for them. Alongside already announced games such as Princess Peach-fronted Showtime! and ports of the original Tomb Raider trilogy, they also anticipate the release of the successor to the Nintendo Switch console within the next 12 months.
