New England Patriots Rookie Arrested for Illegal Online Gambling

Młody gracz New England Patriots aresztowany za nielegalne zakłady online

A young player from the New England Patriots, Kayshon Boutte, has been arrested for engaging in illegal online gambling activities. The arrest comes as a result of Boutte’s involvement in unlawful betting, even during his time as a student at LSU. He is accused of creating a fake account under his own name, providing false information about his age in order to place bets legally, despite being underage.

As a result of his actions, Boutte was able to make “thousands of different bets, including some on the LSU team,” placing “several hundred thousand dollars” at stake and receiving payouts. Currently, Boutte has surrendered to the authorities and is facing charges of computer forgery, including misdemeanor and felony offenses related to computer fraud. He was held in East Baton Rouge Parish Jail but was released on a $6,000 bond.

Once considered one of the top receiver prospects in the country, Boutte was ultimately selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. However, in his first year with the team, he only played in five games, making two receptions for 19 yards without much success.

According to WAFB 9, Boutte “never bet against himself” and there are no allegations of match-fixing during his college career.
