Experience Realistic Lighting with RTX Remix Mod for Call of Duty: World at War

Nowe demo RTX Remix dla Call of Duty: World at War – OC3D

A modder who goes by the name “xoxor4d” has released a demo of a new RTX Remix mod with path tracing technology for the game Call of Duty: World at War. This mod enhances the zombie mode by adding ray-traced lighting to the game.

Currently, the demo only applies to the “Nacht der Untoten” (Night of the Undead) map. The mod does not replace any game assets, but rather changes the appearance of the game through ray-traced lighting. Xoxor4d confirmed that this is a conceptual demo, which can be improved and expanded with the proper support and interest.

One of the main highlights in the video demo below is the use of the M2 flamethrower. The flames emitted by this weapon produce a significant amount of light, making a huge impact. Although this demo does not showcase the full potential of RTX Remix, it demonstrates the benefits of ray-traced lighting.

Since this demo only utilizes RTX Remix for lighting, we can conclude that it does not present the full potential of this technology. RTX Remix has the ability to greatly enhance games through new textures, assets, and ray-traced lighting. This demo for Call of Duty: World at War merely scratches the surface of what is possible with Nvidia technology.

To make this RTX mod work with World at War, players will need to install the compatible mod from the Github platform. Afterwards, players will be able to install the demo mod “Nacht der Untoten” from ModDB.
