The Exciting Opening of Universal’s New Theme Park: Epic Universe

Nowy Park tematyczny Universal otwiera się w 2025 roku

Universal has confirmed that its new theme park, Epic Universe, will be opening in 2025. This highly-anticipated park will feature Super Nintendo World and, more importantly, Dark Universe. Although originally slated to open last year, Super Nintendo World’s debut was delayed until 2025. Universal has now provided us with a sneak peek into the park and all its themed worlds, including some concepts of what we can expect in Super Nintendo World. While there isn’t much information available yet, there is an image of the entrance, which resembles a pipe, a charming café with stained glass windows, a gift shop, and an overall vision for the park’s design.

But what makes this opening even more exciting is that the new park will have four other worlds to explore. One of them is called Celestial Park and does not have a specific theme. There is also a section dedicated to the Wizarding World, an area inspired by How to Train Your Dragon, and the most intriguing of all, Dark Universe. For those unfamiliar with Dark Universe, it was Universal’s attempt to create a shared universe, similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with movies about classic monsters. Unfortunately, this endeavor did not succeed and only left behind a Twitter account with two posts, the second one featuring an image of Tom Cruise, Javier Bardem, Russell Crowe, Johnny Depp, and Sofia Boutella, captioned “Witness the beginning of the Dark Universe.”

Of course, most of us were not witness to this as it happened seven years ago and nothing came out of it. But someone must have thought it was worth going back to the freezer and reheating the leftovers, hoping they’d still be good, or in other words, some executive probably said, “we can still use this brand, no one remembers Dark Universe.” Well, I remember. I remember it and will never forget (though I might forget).
