A New Hero Emerges: Level 100 Victreebel Takes Down the Elite Four in Pokémon

Wracamy do korzeni: Poziom 100 Victreebel pokonuje Elite Four w Pokémon

In the world of Pokémon, the Elite Four and their champion have always been a source of fear and awe. Every player who has spent time in the Kanto and Johto regions (and a few others) feels a particular unease at the mere mention of “Lance.” It’s true: the dragon-type trainer, incredibly stylish, with a dazzling wardrobe. He’s just as legendary as Cynthia, an extremely challenging opponent. With his powerful Pokémon, he’s definitely the worst nightmare to defeat.

Or at least that’s what we thought until now. On Reddit, one determined player defeated Lance in the HeartGold and SoulSilver versions using… a tiny Bellsprout! Yes, this ingenious fan lent his lonely Victreebel (one of our favorites from the Johto Pokédex) to take on all of Lance’s powerful dragon-type Pokémon, without using any items and with only three attacks. We’ve played most Pokémon games in an uncountable order, but this is something we never expected to see.

As you can see for yourself in the video shared on Reddit by user Imvenommate, Victreebel utilized a combination of Sleep Powder, Giga Drain, and Sludge Bomb to annihilate its opponents. It turns out to be a powerful set of moves. Sleep Powder, of course, incapacitates the opponent’s Pokémon, Giga Drain deals damage while healing Victreebel, and Sludge Bomb knocks them out. Simple, right?

Although, as many commenters pointed out, there is one small catch. Victreebel, nicknamed Pinki, is at level 100 compared to Lance’s companions who are at around level 75. “It just shows that (almost) any Pokémon can be unbeatable at a high enough level,” said one user. Another added, “Well, that little plant creature has a 20+ level advantage over the entire team…” However, for us, Victreebel’s level doesn’t diminish this achievement, and we would gladly watch as one joyful plant creature takes down six dragons. After all, we always root for the extraordinary.
