New Esports Events Featuring Intel, Acer, and ESL FACEIT Group

Nowe wydarzenia esportowe z udziałem Intel, Acer i ESL FACEIT Group

In an exciting partnership, Intel, Acer, and esports tournament organizers ESL FACEIT Group have come together to collaborate on upcoming Counter-Strike 2 and DOTA 2 events for the rest of the year.

All ESL tournaments will now exclusively feature Acer Predator products as the official hardware supplier until 2024.

One of the most highly anticipated DOTA 2 events is The International, which is not hosted by ESL. In 2023, the main prize for The International was an impressive 1 million dollars.

Recently, Intel and ESL FACEIT Group announced that Acer Predator will become the exclusive manufacturer and supplier of equipment for all upcoming esports events related to Counter-Strike 2 and DOTA 2 in 2024.

Players will use Acer Predator devices for actual gameplay, and the brand’s logo will be displayed during the broadcasts. The upcoming events include:

– Intel Extreme Masters 2024, which will take place in China, the United States, and Germany,
– Season 19 and Season 20 of the ESL Pro League,
– ESL Challenger Tournament in Jönköping, Sweden, Atlanta, United States, and Katowice, Poland,
– DreamLeague Season 21, Season 22, and Season 23 Online tournaments,
– and ESL One tournaments in 2024, including ESL One Birmingham and ESL One Asia.

These events are expected to rely on Acer’s equipment, such as the latest laptops from the Predator Helios series – the 16, 18, and Neo models, as well as the desktop computers from the Predator Orion series. These computers will feature Intel processors, further solidifying the collaboration between the three companies.

We had a chance to review the Predator Helios Neo 16 last year and found it to be an excellent and high-performance device, with the only drawback being unnecessary Acer software like PredatorSense. The showcased equipment will be more than enough to handle both games, especially DOTA 2, which was released in 2013.

The next event in this series is IEM Katowice 2024, scheduled for February 8, 2024.

“Acer Predator, both desktop computers and laptops, continue to promote incredible gaming capabilities made possible by Intel Core processors. We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Acer and EFG in 2024,” said Roger Chandler, Vice President and Managing Director of Personal Computers and Workstations at Intel, in a press statement shared by Hypertext.

“Acer’s partnership with Intel and EFG stems from our shared commitment to support the esports community and take the gameplay to the next level,” added Vincent Lin, Vice President of Global Product Marketing and Planning at Acer Inc.

DOTA 2 and Counter-Strike 2 can be considered the leading esports leagues in terms of competition and popularity. The most significant DOTA 2 event is The International, held annually.

Last year, Team Spirit emerged as the winners of the tournament, securing the 1 million dollar grand prize to be divided among the five team members. Since EFG is not the host of The International, Acer’s equipment will not play the same role as it does in the upcoming ESL events.
