CAPCOM Removes Original Versions of Two Devil May Cry Games from Steam

Capcom usuwa oryginalne wersje dwóch gier Devil May Cry ze Steama

In a surprising move, CAPCOM has decided to permanently remove the original versions of Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 4 from the Steam platform. Despite the anticipation for Devil May Cry 6 for nearly five years, the series, which features the iconic silver-haired demon hunter Dante, continues to enjoy immense popularity, with fans eagerly anticipating the next installment.

Unfortunately, those who were looking forward to playing the original versions of Devil May Cry 3 and DMC 4 will no longer have the opportunity to do so. Both games were removed from Steam without a detailed explanation.

However, this doesn’t mean that we don’t have any alternative options. Other editions of Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 4 are still available. Players can purchase the special edition of Devil May Cry 4 from 2015, as well as Devil May Cry 3 as part of the HD Collection, which includes the first three installments of the series.

It is worth mentioning that the Steam rating for the original version of Devil May Cry 4 has now dropped to “mostly negative” after fans started giving negative reviews to older Capcom games in protest against the addition of DRM protection to the Monster Hunter Rise game.

If you’re eagerly awaiting Devil May Cry 6, it might be worth trying out other top single-player games or starting to get excited about upcoming PC games in 2024.
