The renowned game developer, CD Projekt RED, is shifting its creative efforts towards a new project related to the popular Witcher series. The team behind The Witcher 4 has expanded to over 400 developers and is planning to commence full production later this year. The upcoming game, codenamed Polaris, will kick off a new trilogy, expanding upon the universe presented in the previous Witcher installments.

In a recent development, the company has established a new Shared Services team to act as a bridge between development teams and the tools and efficiencies introduced by utilizing the Unreal Engine 5. Currently, half of this team is dedicated to the needs of the Polaris project, with this allocation subject to change as other projects progress.

Furthermore, CD Projekt confirmed that the sales of Cyberpunk 2077 have exceeded $750 million across all platforms, including the success of Phantom Liberty.
