Pierwsze Mistrzostwa Esportu w Polsce 2024

The inaugural Esports Championships in Poland 2024 have been announced by the Polish Esports Federation (PEF), marking the beginning of a highly anticipated journey towards the 16th World Esports Championships (WEC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – as reported by MediaBrief.

Taking place on April 18, ECP 2024 will feature players from across Poland showcasing their skills in games such as DOTA 2 (Open), eFootball (Open), and Counter-Strike 2, in both open and female categories. Winners of the online qualifiers will advance to the regional eliminations, where they will compete against other Asian countries for a chance to secure a spot in the global WEC 2024 finals in Riyadh, commencing on November 11.

Led by the International Esports Federation (IESF), WEC 2024 will see 609 teams representing their nations across five games. These titles include Counter-Strike 2 (Open and Female), Dota 2, eFootball™ series, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Open and Female), and PUBG MOBILE. For the first time in the tournament’s history, a prize pool of $1 million has been announced, to be distributed among the top 8 teams in each game and category.

President of the Polish Esports Federation, Adam Nowak, has shown keen interest in the upcoming championships. He remarked, “Following the historic year of 2023, during which Poland made its debut at the Asia Games 2022, we eagerly anticipate a new year full of opportunities with ECP 2024.” Nowak highlighted the achievements of female athletes, noting the success of last year’s CS: GO eliminations for women and expressing hope for further accomplishments this year.

Players interested in participating in the championships can register before April 15. Details of the registration process are outlined on the PEF Discord server. The online qualifiers will follow a double-elimination format, providing a competitive platform for participants. The event will be broadcast live on the official YouTube and Facebook pages of PEF.
