The positive aspect of having many cards reprinted in this set is the potential reduction in demand for expensive cards, thus lowering the cost of building competitive decks. It may seem strange to recommend a special edition set based on card reprints, but… well, that’s the reality.
In terms of new cards, the one that is likely to be most frequently used is Moonlit Hill. This new stadium allows you to discard a Psychic Energy to heal 30 damage from your Pokemon, which may not seem special at first glance, until you remember that Gardevoir ex (which received a reprint in this set) can restore that energy to itself at the cost of 20 damage. Synergy! It’s also possible that Gengar, with its ability to retreat for free in each subsequent turn, might be useful as support, but Second Evolution Pokemon can be difficult to play, so expectations for it are somewhat higher in terms of utility.
