A Fresh Perspective on Bulletstorm VR: Is it Really as Bad as They Say?

Recenzja gry Bulletstorm VR: Czy naprawdę jest tak zła, jak mówią?

Bulletstorm VR, a port of the game, has been falling short of fans’ expectations in the virtual reality realm. There are numerous flaws, including graphics issues, VR incompatibility, and serious performance problems.

During the first hour of gameplay, I noticed many graphical shortcomings and unappealing cutscenes that seem to have been overlooked before the game’s release. Furthermore, even after the cutscenes, there were moments where I would suddenly appear under the map and die.

The Bulletstorm VR port is so disastrous that it doesn’t even utilize additional features offered by VR headsets, such as haptics or eye tracking. Everything feels so basic and sloppy that it’s hard to believe some community mods couldn’t have done a better job than the developers themselves.

Despite all the flaws, I managed to find enjoyment in the game because Bulletstorm, which I previously loved on Xbox 360, gains value through the immersive experience. Despite its problems, I am more forgiving of imperfections in VR games than in traditional ones.

Unfortunately, I fear that Bulletstorm VR won’t receive an update to fix its issues. While I appreciate the effort put into creating this port, as VR enthusiasts, we deserve something better.

I long for a future where games are a hybrid of flat and VR, and companies refresh their old titles for a new audience. However, after the negative reception of Bulletstorm VR, I worry that no other studio will dare to take on a similar challenge.

I hope that in the future, I can revisit this game when potential updates fix all the problems. However, Bulletstorm deserves something better, and we, as VR fans, deserve it too.
