Activision Updates Rules in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to Combat Toxicity and Disruptions

Aktualizacja zasad Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – zwalczanie toksyczności i zakłóceń

Activision recently made updates to the “Code of Conduct” in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in order to combat toxicity and disruptions in the game. The blog post also provided an explanation of the game’s moderation systems, highlighting the improvement in the multiplayer mode since its release.

According to data, since the game’s release, there has been a “50% decrease” in the number of players experiencing “serious instances of disruptions in voice chat”. These numbers are complemented by an 8% decrease in the number of recidivists since the introduction of voice chat moderation in the game.

The blog posts also indicate that “over 2 million accounts” have been penalized in the game for disruptions in voice chat, in accordance with Call of Duty’s Code of Conduct.

Activision’s data reveals that only 1 in 5 users reported misconduct, which is why the company introduced gratitude messages and plans to provide players with additional feedback on their reports in the future.

Here are the updated rules aimed at better combating the use of the game to promote discrimination or violence:

“Treat everyone with respect” – we do not tolerate bullying or harassment, including offensive remarks about race, gender identity or sexual orientation, age, culture, faith, mental or physical abilities, or origin. It is also unacceptable to empower any person, agenda, or movement that promotes discrimination or violence based on the aforementioned criteria.

All members of our community should be treated with dignity and respect.

Communication with others, both through text and voice chat, must be free from offensive or harmful language. Hate speech and discriminatory language are offensive and not allowed, just like bullying and threatening another player.
