Lead Dev of Grey Skies: A War of the Worlds Story Plans Free Remaster to Address Poor Reviews

Nathan Seedhouse, lead dev of Grey Skies: A War of the Worlds Story, has announced plans to release a free remaster of the game to address the poor reviews and low player satisfaction. Despite being on the market for over two years, Grey Skies currently holds a “Mostly Negative” score on Steam based on player reviews.

Seedhouse attributed his unawareness of the negative reception to personal issues that kept him away from development. However, after returning to the game, he realized the extent of the issues players had raised and now aims to rectify them. He plans to remaster the game using new technologies and his improved knowledge of development.

Acknowledging common complaints about clunky movement and frustrating stealth elements, Seedhouse promised to carefully address and resolve each concern. The remastered version of Grey Skies will be offered for free to original owners, while the original version of the game will be taken off sale soon.

Seedhouse expressed his hope that the remaster will rectify the mistakes made and encourage players to give the game another chance. Although the size of the development team working on the remaster is unclear, Seedhouse’s commitment to improving the game is evident.

While some skepticism remains about the remaster’s potential to change players’ perceptions, Seedhouse’s dedication and belief in the game he created in 2020 are commendable. If successful, Grey Skies may join the few Steam games that have managed to overcome negative reviews and regain player satisfaction through hard work and improvements.
