Alan Wake Joins Dead by Daylight in the Latest Update

Alan Wake dołącza do Dead by Daylight jako nowy ocalały w najnowszej aktualizacji

After much anticipation, Alan Wake has finally entered the mist and joined Behaviour Interactive’s game, Dead by Daylight. Alan Wake joins as the newest Survivor in this asymmetrical multiplayer game as part of Tome 18: Revision.

As we already know, Alan Wake, the bestselling author, has been struggling with writer’s block. His journey to Bright Falls was meant to clear his mind, but instead, it unleashed a chain of nightmares that led to his disappearance and imprisonment in the mysterious Dark Place. This time, while fighting to free himself and escape the Dark Place, Alan recalled a script he wrote for Night Springs about a terrifying place hidden in the fog. These memories quickly shaped reality as he was consumed by the Entity’s Realm and the world of Dead by Daylight, trading one Dark Place for another.

“We are thrilled that Alan Wake has finally joined The Fog as a Survivor,” says Mathieu Coté, Head of Partnerships at Behaviour Interactive. “It has always been clear to us that Alan fits perfectly into the Dead by Daylight universe. Both of our games draw mutual inspiration and celebrate horror icons that came before them. We are excited to see how players will react to his new nightmare – Alan feels like he can’t catch his breath.”

Fortunately for Alan, he has a few tricks up his sleeve to help him survive. As mentioned earlier, Alan has access to three unique abilities: Master of Light, Gift: Illumination, and Repercussion. Master of Light grants players additional movement speed while wielding a flashlight, while Gift: Illumination allows Alan to create a Gift Totem that reveals the Auras of Generators and Chests to all nearby Survivors. Lastly, Repercussion, which activates upon taking damage, increases the frequency of Skill Checks when healing other Survivors or repairing Generators.

Tome 18 also introduces new memories for Alan Wake, Deathslinger, and Arkham Asylum. By progressing through the Rift and completing new gameplay challenges, players unlock Talismans, Outfits, and much more for several characters, including customization options for Alan Wake’s Player Card and the Alan’s Darker Side outfit for the Premium Rift.

Speaking of outfits, the new DLC includes several of them. The Classic Alan Wake Outfit (Very Rare) showcases Alan with a short hairstyle, a bruised head, and a hoodie jacket. This resembles the first Alan Wake game. The Bright Falls Outfit (Very Rare) offers a more casual look for Alan, dressing him in a checkered shirt and casual blue jeans.

Lastly, two beloved characters from the Alan Wake series join him as legendary outfits. The Sage Anderson Outfit (Legendary) and the Rose Marigold Outfit (Legendary) are available as the talented FBI agent and the waitress from Oh Deer Diner. The Alan Wake Classic and Sage Anderson outfits are available today, while the Bright Falls and Rose Marigold outfits will be available on February 6th.

If all of this isn’t enough, Behaviour Interactive has something special for fans next month – a limited-time event called Lights Out. Mmodifiers are new customizations to the existing gameplay format that offer players a unique and thrilling experience. In this case, the event (which starts on February 7th) introduces a new modifier called Lights Out, which shrouds the map in darkness. No items, no Terror Radius, no Scratch Marks.

The Lights Out modifier will be available from February 7th at 8:00 PST / 11:00 EST to February 14th at 8:00 PST / 11:00 EST.

Dead by Daylight Tome 18 is already available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Windows Store.
