Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO Unveils Exciting Game Modes and Local Multiplayer

Bandai Namco Entertainment and Spike Chunsoft have recently unveiled a new gameplay showcase video for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, giving fans a glimpse into two exciting game modes and the addition of local multiplayer.

One of the game modes highlighted in the video is “Episode Battle.” In this single-player mode, players can choose from eight different characters, including Goku and Vegeta, and relive famous battles from the anime series. Each character has a unique set of stages, starting from iconic fights like Goku against Raditz and continuing through the Tournament of Power Saga. Some stages even offer the opportunity to change the outcome of the story, providing players with a fresh and original experience.

Another mode showcased is “Custom Battle.” This mode allows players to engage in battles with original scenes and various victory conditions. The Bonus Battles within Custom Battle present players with different battle situations and event cutscenes, offering a unique twist to the gameplay. Additionally, players can create their own original battles in Edi Mode, including custom pre-battle and post-battle cutscenes. These creations can be uploaded and shared online, allowing players to showcase their imaginative battles to the world.

The addition of local multiplayer is a significant highlight of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO. While the game was primarily developed with online multiplayer and single-player modes in mind, the developers have made an exception and implemented split-screen multiplayer exclusively within the “Hyperbolic Time Chamber” stage. This decision was made to ensure players can enjoy local matches with friends and family, despite the challenges faced in retaining the game’s core elements in split-screen mode.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on October 11. With its diverse game modes, immersive storytelling, and the inclusion of local multiplayer, fans can look forward to an exciting and engaging Dragon Ball gaming experience.
