Madden NFL 24 x HBCU Tournament: Zmiana w planach dla miłośników futbolu wideo

Attention football enthusiasts! Get ready for the upcoming fourth annual EA SPORTS Madden NFL 24 x HBCU Tournament, which is set to take place in Orlando just before the highly anticipated NFL Pro Bowl games in 2024.

This year’s tournament will feature special guests, including former Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green, ESPN commentator and HBCU alum Tiffany Greene, and former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson. In the previous year, the tournament was managed by Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons.

Eight finalists, who earned their tickets through open qualifiers for both men and women, as well as video submissions, will have the opportunity to visit the EA Studio in Orlando. Throughout the week, they will participate in “great experiences” related to the NFL to gain insights into the business of sports and e-gaming.

The HBCU Madden tournament is an excellent example of the NFL’s commitment to equality and accessibility in both traditional sports and e-sports, said Ed Kiang, Vice President of Video Games at the NFL. “This program has steadily grown over the past four seasons, with 56 HBCUs participating and a 200% increase in participants year after year. We can’t wait to showcase the HBCU final during the Pro Bowl Games and create an unforgettable experience for them.”

The finalists will also engage in on-site media interviews before, during, and after the tournament, meet with representatives from EA responsible for the popular Madden NFL game series, and observe the workings of the NFL. The students will participate in a special Disney on the Yard activation, where they can explore the Flamingo’s Crossing campus and discuss career development opportunities with Disney representatives.

Prior to the start of the NFL Pro Games on February 4th, the finalists will have the chance to visit Camping World Stadium and meet NFL players. Additionally, they will receive tickets to the game.

Here is the list of the eight finalists: Dametri Hill (Fort Valley State University), DaSean Wade Neclos Jr. (North Carolina A&T), Alon Anwoju (Albany State University), Egypt Garrett and Kiara Davis (Tennessee State University), Taylor Adams, Ernest Walker, and Germaine Bozeman (Florida A&M University).

Valuable moments from the tournament will be available on the official NFL YouTube channel on February 10th at 5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).
