Horizon Forbidden West PC Expansion: A Fresh Take on the Cult Series

Rozszerzenie Horizon Forbidden West na PC – świeże spojrzenie na kultową serię

After months of rumors and leaks, Sony and Guerrilla Games have finally announced the availability of the Horizon Forbidden West expansion on PC. The open world of this cult series is on the edge of its seat, as Aloy’s adventures always coincide with the release of other highly anticipated games, such as Zero Dawn and Breath of the Wild, and now Forbidden West is coming out alongside Elden Ring on PS5.

The release of Horizon Forbidden West on PC is scheduled for March 21, 2024, just a day before Dragon’s Dogma 2 premieres, along with Rise of the Ronin and Princess Peach Showtime. The PC version, called Forbidden West Complete Edition, includes all the patches released since the game’s launch as well as the excellent Burning Shores DLC. It is priced at $59.99, and Sony is offering a range of bonuses for pre-order customers, including various outfits and weapon skins.

But these bonuses are not just cosmetics. Some outfits and weapons have unique stat modifiers for Aloy, although they are not game-changing, so you won’t miss out on anything if you decide not to pre-order.

The PC version of Forbidden West offers unlimited frames per second, support for AMD FSR and Nvidia DLSS 3, and DualSense compatibility, which means fantastic vibrations. However, if you prefer a mouse and keyboard, you can use them too.

Sony has not confirmed whether Forbidden West will be available on the Steam Deck as a verified game. So far, Zero Dawn is still struggling with performance issues on PC and the Steam Deck, and after the disastrous debut of The Last of Us Part 1 on that platform, we shouldn’t expect full compatibility and smooth gameplay right from the start.
