Microsoft osiągnął wartość 3 bilionów dolarów, zmieniając strukturę swojej firmy

Microsoft, the global leader in the technology industry, has reached a market value of $3 trillion today, surpassing Apple in terms of market capitalization. Despite tremendous success, some areas of the company are facing difficulties. According to reports from The Verge, Microsoft is planning to downsize its gaming division after finalizing the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Upon completion of the acquisition process, Microsoft intends to lay off approximately 1,900 employees from its Xbox and Activision Blizzard divisions. “In 2024, Microsoft’s gaming division and Activision Blizzard plan to develop a strategy and action plan that takes into account a sustainable cost structure to support the growth of our business,” said Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft, in an internal memo. According to sources, the workforce reduction will affect about 9% of the employees working in Microsoft’s gaming division.

In light of this acquisition, Mike Ybarra, the CEO of Blizzard, has decided to leave the company. Stay tuned for further updates from both Microsoft and the overall technological market, where layoffs unfortunately seem to be a daily occurrence this year.
