In an exciting announcement, Playground Games has revealed that new content will be added to Forza Horizon 5 in a special update celebrating Chinese New Year.

The team stated in their blog post, “What better way to welcome the prosperity of the new year than a pleasant ride through the new features of the Horizon Festival.” This update promises to be a significant addition to the game, which has been on the market for some time now. The developers claim that instead of the usual two weeks, the Horizon Festival will have four weeks of content to celebrate this “new lunar cycle.”

Each of these four weeks will feature a reward car, showcasing some of the finest vehicles to come out of the Middle Kingdom. To go even further, players can purchase the Chinese Lucky Stars Pack, which includes three cars inspired by Chinese and Volkswagen craftsmanship, capturing the hearts of players everywhere.

But the good news doesn’t end there; thirteen previous reward cars are making a comeback to the Festival as Autoshow cars starting from January 30th. Another blast from the past will illuminate the Festival with the return of the extended nightfall. Gather your family for an incredible traditional dinner and a few laps around the Horizon Festival with the Chinese New Year Update!

Here is a list of the new features added to the game:

– 13 previously exclusive reward cars added to the Autoshow
– 9 Chinese New Year-themed decorations for EventLab
– 1 collector’s achievement related to Chinese New Year
– Chinese Lucky Stars Pack now available for purchase
– 5 new unlockable reward cars from the Festival Playlist
– Limited-time seasonal events
– Expanding world: Drift Arena at the Stadium
– Expanding world: Remote Controlled Dragon Show
– Expanding world: Firework Collecting
– 2 badges: “Feeling Lucky” and “Moon Dragon”
– Return of the extended nightfall

In addition, the update also includes bug fixes, such as:

– Improved sound in the 2008 Aston Martin DBS car
– Resolved issues with car collection through the message center
– Fixed issues with players being kicked out of the Weekly Trial
– Fixed problem where “Tropical Storm” and “Dust Storm” would not appear during spring in Photo Mode
– Cosmetic fixes for the 1970 Dodge Charger Fast X, 1966 Chevrolet Impala Fast X, and 2022 Gordon Murray T.50 cars
