New Pokemon Missing from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

New Pokemon Missing from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

5 Pokemon, które wciąż brakuje w grze Pokemon Scarlet i Violet

It’s no secret that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are missing several popular creatures. While not all species can be available in every game, especially when transitioning from handheld to console, there are still some Pokémon that could have been introduced to balance the metagame.

Although some of these Pokemon may not reappear until the next generation, they could prove useful for players looking to join the competitive scene. Most of these creatures could have a significant impact on the metagame, but unfortunately, they were not added.

1) Raticate:

Raticate may not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of a “good” Pokemon, but it has been absent from the main titles for a while now. It only recently appeared in the spin-off games Let’s GO: Pikachu and Eevee, which didn’t have many features from the main series. The last time Raticate was available in a main title was 10 years ago, in the games HeartGold and SoulSilver.

2) Tapu Koko:

Tapu Koko was one of the Pokemon that many players were looking forward to in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, along with many other Legendary Pokemon. It is the only existing creature that can possess the Electric Surge ability, which sets up Electric Terrain upon entering battle.

3) Nidoking:

Nidoking gained significant popularity after its return in the Crown Tundra expansion for Pokemon Sword and Shield. As a powerful special attacker, Nidoking could make great use of the Terastylization mechanic in Gen 9, allowing it to change its typing and make better use of various coverage options.

4) Togekiss:

After the release of the Indigo Disk expansion, Pokemon like Incineroar, Rillaboom, and Urshifu began wreaking havoc in the metagame. Unfortunately, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet lack a massive Flying and Fairy-type Pokemon with high special attack stats that could counter them. Togekiss would have been an excellent source of utility and power due to its fantastic stats and incredible movepool.

5) Remaining Fossil Pokemon:

Game Freak has been surprisingly selective about which Fossil Pokemon can and cannot appear in the games. Recently, only Cranidos and Shieldon were given a chance to return in the Indigo Disk expansion, while no other Fossil Pokemon received the same opportunity. Although most of them are not particularly strong in the Scarlet and Violet metagame, it’s surprising that the weakest competitively Fossil Pokemon made it into the game while others, like Dracovish and Carracosta, did not receive such an honor.
