Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Crown Remake and the Quirky Glitch

Robot z Persji: Zaginiona Korona

In an unexpected turn of events, the long-forgotten saga of Prince of Persia has been revitalized with the release of “Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Crown” game. The series, which began in 1989, had lost its original spark since 2010. However, this new installment has breathed new life into the franchise and has been hailed as a fantastic gaming experience by many. But as they say, not everything that glitters is gold.

Amidst the mesmerizing gameplay, there lies a surprisingly inconsequential yet amusing glitch: during the game’s programming, the developers opted to use speech synthesizers to reproduce certain dialogues (widely used on TikTok as substitutes for traditional Loquendo synthesizers). The plan was to later replace them with real voiceovers by actors. However, somewhere in the game’s labyrinth, one of the characters has gone missing. Meet Kalux, the Wak-Wak tree, who restores health and helps light the way in the catacombs. It’s just eight lines of dialogue, but they sound artificial, with no character associated with them in the end credits and they don’t fit with the rest of the game’s perfection. Ubisoft has already announced that they will quickly rectify this glitch through a patch.

It’s worth noting that this is a truly minor case. The game boasts a total of 12,000 lines of text, across five different languages, with a handful of translations for subtitles. The fix is expected to be released by the end of January or early February, so if you want to experience this leap yourself, you still have some time. Just make sure to set the game language to English as the other languages are perfectly implemented!
