Sneak Peek of New Pokémon Toys in McDonald’s Japan Happy Meal

Nadchodzi nowa linia zabawek Pokemon w ramach zestawów Happy Meal w McDonald’s Japonia

Exciting news for Pokémon fans in Japan! McDonald’s Japan has teased the upcoming release of a new line of Pokémon toys as part of their Happy Meal sets. It appears that children will soon have the opportunity to collect toys featuring beloved characters such as Pika-chu, Piplup, Milcery, and Espurra.

The promotional image showcases all four Pokémon standing in what appears to be a home. Milcery can be seen floating in the air above Piplup. The scale of the figurines suggests that Milcery is significantly smaller than the others, but the head of Pika-chu appears to be disproportionately large for its body. The accompanying tweet reads, “They look like the residents of a certain home” with a surprised emoji.

All four Pokémon featured in the image are popular species from the franchise. Pikachu is one of the most recognizable Pokémon, and Piplup gained popularity since its introduction in Pokémon DP. Espurra made its debut in Pokémon XY and quickly became an internet sensation with its vacant stare and sad episode in the anime.

The current generation of Pokémon, Pokémon SV, recently had an event where players had a greater chance of obtaining a shiny Milcery, which could then evolve into a shiny Alcremie. More information about the potential collaboration between McDonald’s Japan and Pokémon for Happy Meal sets will be revealed soon.

This isn’t the first time the two companies have teamed up to create merchandise. In 2021, Pokémon collaborated with both Katy Perry and McDonald’s for their 25th anniversary, and in 2023, Pokémon-themed summer toys were available at festivals. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are also available on Nintendo Switch.
