Survival Shooter Sker Ritual Prepares for Full Release

Wales Interactive is gearing up for the full release of their highly anticipated survival shooter game, Sker Ritual, in April. However, PlayStation 5 users can get a taste of the game today with the release of the demo. The demo features the beloved Cursed Lands of Lavernock map, a fan-favorite that complements the previous demos available on Steam and Xbox Series.

Currently in Early Access, the announcement of the PlayStation 5 demo follows a recent update from the Sker Ritual team, revealing that the upcoming update will introduce a new weapon to the game – the Basil Automatic 1913.

Visitors attending the Insomnia festival in March will have the opportunity to experience Sker Ritual, including its four episodes. The festival runs from March 29th to 31st.

Set after the events of the 2020 game Maid of Sker, Sker Ritual takes place in the year 1900. Players assume the roles of survivors from Sker Island who must navigate the treacherous new area known as “The Cursed Lands of Lavernock.” Together with their three companions, they will confront old enemies and antagonists with extraordinary abilities, requiring a strategic approach to survival.

Fortunately, players will have the support of Curses. Killing enemies grants the chance to obtain these Curses, which offer three randomly selectable enhanced powers, strengthening or altering their ranged attacks, melee combat, grenades, and healing. Each Curse is associated with a Celtic god cult and comes in various forms, rarities, main attributes, and powers.
