Top Downloaded Games in PlayStation Store in 2021

Najpopularniejsze gry w PlayStation Store w 2021 roku

Sony has unveiled the lists of the most downloaded games in the PlayStation Store last year. While there are some typical titles among them, pleasant surprises have also emerged.

According to the official PlayStation Blog, it is a pleasure to announce that Hogwarts Legacy dominates both the American and European lists. Other top positions are occupied by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, EA Sports FC 24, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. These are definitely the games that could be expected to be at the top.

Nevertheless, there are a few standout positions. Diablo 4 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are in the top ten in both regions. Mortal Kombat 1 appeared in the United States, while Assassin’s Creed Mirage occupies the tenth position in Europe.

However, the biggest success turns out to be Baldur’s Gate 3, which ranks seventh in both regions. It is not something hidden, but it shows that there is a strong demand for computer role-playing games on consoles. Undoubtedly, the high-quality PlayStation 5 port contributes to this as well.

The blog also features a list of the most popular games on PSVR 2, where Pavlov – a multiplayer shooter – unsurprisingly takes first place in both the United States and Europe. Beat Saber and Kayak VR are also doing well (they are also on our list of the best games on PSVR 2).

At the end, there is a list of the most downloaded free games, which in principle does not differ much between regions. The top five positions include Fortnite, Roblox, Call of Duty: Warzone, Fall Guys, and Apex Legends. It is worth noting a few interesting titles on the European list, such as eFootball 2024 and the console version of Trackmania, which are among the most downloaded free games in this region.
