The Pokemon Company International signs lease for office space in The Eight Tower in Bellevue

The Pokemon Company International, a Japanese entertainment and trading card game company, has recently signed a lease agreement for office space in The Eight Tower, a 25-story tower currently being constructed in downtown Bellevue. This new development is a project led by Skanska USA Commercial Development, the American branch of the Swedish company Skanska.

According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, Pokemon will lease a total of 152,300 square feet of office space and parking spread across 16 floors of the tower. This signifies that the company will occupy a considerable 72% of the available office space and parking starting from January 2023.

The Eight Tower, situated at the intersection of 8th Street and 108th Avenue, will boast a spacious 540,000 square feet of office space, along with an additional 10,000 square feet dedicated to retail and restaurant areas on the ground floor.

With this lease agreement, Pokemon will become the primary tenant of the building, and also the largest office tenant within Skanska USA’s portfolio. Having had a presence in Bellevue for the past two decades, Pokemon currently employs nearly 1,000 workers.
