Delve into the thrilling realm of space warfare like never before with the highly anticipated release of Everspace 2 Incursions. While games like Starfield, Star Citizen, and Elite Dangerous may lead the pack in cosmic battles, the single-player shooter from Rockfish Games promises an experience that stands out on its own. The latest game update introduces a host of new encounters and even more valuable, legendary items to be acquired during quests.

The good news is that the release date for Everspace 2 Incursions has been revealed and it’s just around the corner.

The free Everspace 2 Incursions update will seamlessly blend into the game upon reaching a “story-critical” part of the main gameplay, according to information provided by Rockfish. Players will face off against new foes, break down barriers, and reap substantial rewards in the form of legendary gear and treasure chests. A total of 15 new legendary items in the form of radiant legends and reliquaries will make their debut in Everspace 2.

Radiant legends will offer fresh ways to enhance your gear in Everspace 2, surpassing the current power of legendary items available in the game. Existing legends will be weakened to make way for radiant legends, but Rockfish has assured that all owned legends will be automatically upgraded to radiant, ensuring that players’ current gear remains valuable.

Reliquaries, treasure chests available upon completing new quests, will serve as the sole method to acquire radiant legends in Everspace 2. Upon completing the Incursions event, players will receive them in their cargo hold. To secure a legendary item, players will need to traverse space or invest in the Tears of the Mad.

Alongside the Incursions update, players can anticipate new customization options for their ships, such as “new front, rear, and cockpit modules found in the DMZ.” Rockfish has mentioned that the photo mode feature will also be “more user-friendly,” although further details are yet to be unveiled.

But that’s not all! Everspace 2 will also transition to Unreal Engine 5 with the free Incursions update later this month, as shared in a blog post by Rockfish. The PC version of Everspace 2 will also receive long-awaited support for PS4 and PS5 controllers, essential for third-person perspective space combat games.

The premiere of the Everspace 2 Incursions update is set for Monday, April 29th at 19:00 Polish time.
